The Archivo de Arquitectura Mexicana Moderna y Cultura Visual del Siglo XX [Archive of Mexican Modern Architecture and Visual Culture of the 20th Century] (arac.mex.xx) is a project appointed by the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas [Institute of Aesthetic Research] at the UNAM, and it serves the purpose of rescuing, guarding, protecting, disseminating and making available to the public part of the historical memory of Mexico. Founded and directed by Dr. Enrique X. de Anda Alanís since 2006, its main objective is to foster the research and critique of architecture and visual culture. Furthermore, the Archive is committed to contribute to the education of students with a humanities background, as well as those interested in the history of arts and other related fields. Thus far the Archive has 16 documentary collections and 4 bibliohemerographic collections organized according to the ISAD (G) standard.
